A little over two weeks had gone by since the fight which he had been a complete asshole to Eden. When he had come home that morning, he had let her walk away. She left him though hesitantly, he had seen her pause when she had started walking out. However, he hadn't moved from where he had been standing in the doorway. With her gone the past two weeks, things had seemingly gotten worst for him. Never was he the type of guy to completely shut people out. She had tried talking sense into him. Her mother had tried as well, but he had refused to talk to the both of them. Mainly because despite not being close to him, they had a relation to the man that had murdered the only family that he had left. It wasn't the main reason, but it was one of the reasons. The main reason could have been the fact that much like her, he was grieving in his own way. Plus, he was the certainly the type to hold back all of his problems, if it meant that she didn't need to worry about them. Only this time, he had held back his problems the worst possible way. That way was he had started to rely on alcohol more than anything else to get him through his own grief. Since the age of eleven, he had drank on occasion. However even she had left the first time around, he was usually always occupying himself at a pub. This time, he spent most of his time there outside of work. His work performance had lacked quite a bit, he messed up spells. Spells he usually would never mess up considering he was quite a talented wizard. His physical appearance lacked the clean cut look that he had when they had first bumped into each other. It resembled exactly how it had been when she had left except a little longer.
The two hadn't been in a relationship with each other when they had been spending time together. The discussion never happened given the fact that everything had happened so fast. They had only managed to have about a week full of being content before things started going to shit. Had nothing gone on, the two perhaps would have discussed getting back together. Despite not being in a relationship, she had still stayed at his house. The two had slept together, a month ago. So, they could have been called a couple, if you wanted to refer to them as that. A few nights ago, it was a good thing that they hadn't been a couple or else it would have been considered cheating on her. Yes, he had slept with another woman during his drunken stupidity. It was something that he had done after Eden had left the first time, something that was being repeated yet again. However, it was only once despite him being completely drunk of his mind most of the time. Luckily, his best friend was there most of the time to keep an eye on him. Unluckily, the trips to the pubs and even alcohol at home had proven to be too much for him. Noah had been at a pub in Scotland when he had collapsed. He had lost count of the drinks that he had drank that night. All he could have remembered was that he had a great time before he had collapsed. No one had yet to visit him since no one had yet to even hear about him most likely. After all, the person that would have been notified in an emergency was, well dead now. It took the next day for the ministry to get word of it considering it was a muggle hospital. Which meant that everyone was relying on the ability of muggles to help out someone without the use of magic.
It was not only the fact that Eden had left, it had been the fact that despite the fact that probably could have gotten more days off, he had went to work. Being an auror meant a lot of hours consistently throughout the week. Even if an auror had a day off, there was a chance of them being owled to come in for something. It was something that he had always known would come with being an auror. The only downside was that he never really took a day off to get over any grief or anything. It may have been the fact that he could have felt that it would have served as a distraction. Especially when Eden had been home, crying for about a week straight. Scotland had been a place that he had gone to because he had visited his aunt's home before it had been put up for sale. It was a place that he had lived in since he was three years old. Needless to say, he had certainly broken down there since it was something that he hadn't done at all since her death. After that, he had taken the trip to the pub which was probably the worst decision that he could have made. A lot of people would have called him stupid for doing all the things that he had done since finding out about his only living family member's death. However, it was something that a lot of people actually went through. It was especially difficult with Eden being just as upset. Their fight had been during a time when he was hungover. When he had woken up later that day, he hadn't put much effort into finding her as he did before. This was due to the fact that Alek had been killed, something else that had been on his mind, eating away at him. Igor was the last thing which he was pretty sure that if Igor went after anyone, it would have been him rather than her. For now, he was confined to a hospital bed completely unconscious, having yet woken up from having collapsed at the pub previously. Both a positive and a negative thing given the moment when he had been brought into the hospital, in the first place.

* WEARING
Things had been really hard for her over the course of two weeks. So much had happened that it made it seem like it wasn't even real...that she had been dreaming. The loss of her little boy was enough to make her want to just give up entirely, but with Noah and her mother's help, she had managed to stay somewhat sane through everything. However, through her own grief, she hadn't entirely comprehended what else had happened in Noah's. Minerva had been murdered, leaving him without a family. As she seemed to get better, Noah's morale started to deteriorate. This led to him working late and drinking- eventually staying out all night. He wouldn't talk to her about anything, shutting her out of his life, essentially. It broke her heart to see him like that. Especially when she felt so helpless, like she couldn't do anything for him. This led to them fighting more over things that were stupid and irrelevant. He'd come home irritated and hungover, unwilling to talk about anything at all. During their final fight, he had been horrible to her. Something that still shocked her. She threatened to leave without saying as many words, but he didn't stop her. She even hesitated and he didn't move from where he was. She had felt so pathetic in that moment, wanting nothing more than to just curl up in a ball and cry. Eden had went to her old home, then, with nowhere else to go. That's when another curve ball had been thrown into her life; she had a brother. Someone who was essentially as broken and confused as she, but for other reasons. Eden had insisted on him staying with her, seeing as he had nowhere else to go. During this time, she had talked to him about Noah, getting a guy's perspective on things. It only made her miss him more, but on another note, made her appreciate the relationship with Nick that she had been lacking in her life the past eighteen years of his life. Things, for the most part, had returned to normal the next week. Normal except for the fact that she had been applying for jobs, landing one withing the Ministry...in Noah's department. Her first day on the job was certainly interesting, except that Noah wasn't even there. The second day, the same thing had occurred. It pissed Eden off. Was he really just going to skip work and not call in? It was on the third day that the new head of the aurors called her into his office, shutting the door behind her- instructing her to take a seat. Eden sat hesitantly, looking at him with a confused expression on her face. However, when the words came out of his mouth, her heart sank to her stomach. Before she even knew what she was doing, she was on her feet, storming out of the office. Tears stung her eyes as her feet carried her to the lobby of the Ministry where she could apparate. She didn't know what she did to deserve the cards she had been dealt with in life. It was like some kind of sick, cruel joke. Eden apparated to the muggle hospital where Noah was located. She went to the desk, but they refused to let her go back and see him, to which Eden demanded to speak to a doctor. He told her that only family was allowed back to visit at the moment, which only sparked a nasty string of words to come out of Eden's mouth. "I am the only person left in his life that could be considered family- he literally has no one. So, you'll add me to the list of his emergency contacts, inform me of what is going on, and let me see him before I write up a nasty complaint and sue the shit out of this hospital...and YES, I have the money to make it a long and drawn out process." The nurses eyes were wide, along with the doctor that was standing in front of her. Needless to say, the doctor began to walk back with her to his room, stopping at his door- explaining what had happened. For the second time that day, Eden's heart sank, listening to the details. He had died. His heart had stopped. Not only did he have alcohol poisoning, but his liver was damaged from the extensive drinking. Eden covered her mouth with her hand, tears escaping her eyes. Her leaving had only made things worse and now he was here, still unconscious. The doctor finally left her standing there, going to check on other patients in the wing. Eden turned, opening the door to his room. He looked terrible, which only choked her up more. She bit down on her lip, walking over to where his bed was, gently running a hand through his messy hair. "God, I can't leave you by yourself for more than five minutes without something terrible happening." she murmured, sniffling. Kicking her heels off, she crawled into bed with, laying her head against his chest like she always used to. Hearing the strong beat only made her more upset. He had died. She had left him and it had only made things worse. "I want to be mad at you...so bad...but I can't." she whispered. "I have every reason to be...but you had to go and do something so stupid." She laughed dryly. And you can't even hear me, but I want you to know that you're a dumbass...but I love you. If you would have died..." Her small frame shook slightly, tears managing to escape once again. "God, I don't know what I would have done. I can't loose you, too, Noah. I can't." Eden wiped away her tears, letting her eyes fall closed, her breathing steadying as she listened to the steady beep of his heart and the monitors.

The words that he had said to her when she had threatened to leave, were words that he normally would have never said. He had mentioned to her that it would be no different than the six years that she had been gone. Something that was obviously not true at all considering the past six years had been hell for her. The two had fought over the dumbest things such as who would feed Slyvester. They had never fought before, considering the two were just so connected with each other it seemed. She barely slept because he could not manage to get any sleep due to the stress. So, she was irritated along with him being hung-over which led to the fights. Despite being exhausted, he had been unable to get much sleep at all. She had been the one to try to help him out during that time. However, he had shut her out completely. He refused to talk to her about anything instead. He had essentially started to self destruct, while she had managed to get better. Besides the fact that his aunt had died, he had to deal with the loss of his son. A son that he had never gotten the chance to even meet or know about until six years after he had been killed. Speaking of death, he had also used the killing curse. Something that even though it was necessary to use it, it was something that could have been avoided. It took a lot of meaning to mean the killing curse, something he had never managed to use due to that. Using the killing curse could have led him to a cell in Azkaban as well, something that he had managed to avoid by using a different wizard's wand. During the two weeks, he had spent his time at the pubs.
The woman that he had ended up with, was indeed probably the biggest whore around. Someone that had her eye on him since their time at Hogwarts. Davies. It was something that had happened due to way too many drinks. Something that had managed to have been avoided in the past years except in those past years, he had never drank to the point of not being able to control basically none of his actions. Another reason that he had gone to Scotland was because she had been bragging to pubs about how she had finally gotten with the guy. How Eden was no longer in the picture. Her bragging certainly wasn't helping his mind which had been full of guilt since Eden had left though he had never acted on it. He hadn't tried to find her instead he just kept drinking to avoid thinking about her. Really, to avoid thinking about anything that wasn't necessary to think about. When he had made it to his childhood home, he had actually sobered up for that trip. A trip which had quickly ended up with him retreating to a pub. Unknowingly to him since he had yet to wake up, when he had been brought into the hospital, he had actually died. The sound of flat lining had been heard throughout the room. It took quite a bit of tries to finally get the machine to beep back to life. Some people in the hospital considered him very lucky considering how much alcohol had been found in his system. During those three days, he had ended up missing work and due to his state, he hadn't even been able to call or owl them. Some people considered him to be in a slight coma from everything since three days had passed and he hadn't woken up. They had no idea when he was going to wake up. Something that couldn't easily be predicted for some doctors, go figure.
Slowly coming to his senses though he had heard the last part of what the woman had said. From the part where she called him a dumbass until she mentioned that she couldn't lose him as well. Slowly he had opened his eyes to see Eden laying on his chest just as she always had done. It was as if she was afraid of losing him that she always ended up listening to the beat of his heart. He said, "This dumbass loves you too." When he had spoken, it had been a low broken voice considering he had just woken up for the first time. He had no idea how long he had been out, the last thing that he remembered was collapsing to the ground. There was pain in his side and from what he could tell, he was at a hospital. Not St. Mungo's at all which was more noticeably cleaner than the room that he was currently in. It probably helped that St. Mungo's had the ability to use magic. Something that would have been useful considering his side was bothering him quite a bit. If he had to take a guess, it had been the drinking that had finally landed him in a hospital room. Out of all the things that he could have ended up in the hospital for, drinking had been the one to land him there. It was a surprise that she was laying on his chest considering everything that had happened. He ran his hand through her hair as he wonder what else to say. She had mentioned loosing him, something that luckily had not happened. Noah said in the same low tone, "I'm sorry...for everything." Certainly more than sorry would have been needed, but for now it was all he could offer her. Obviously he knew that he had been a complete asshole to her previously. It hadn't been a surprise that she had managed to get into the room despite not being listed as someone to contact in an emergency. She had been removed from the list when she had been taken from him six years ago. Knowing her, she probably threatened them until they let her in.

* WEARING
On the way to the muggle hospital, Eden felt like she was choking. She couldn't comprehend everything that had happened and why the hell it had happened to them. Instead of her heart repairing, it had only been breaking more and more. With the news of Noah, it was only sensible that his boss told her what had happened. After all, even after her six year absence, she could be considered his family. Especially after what had happened to Minerva, she really was all that he had, essentially. She was still angry at him at this point. After all, she didn't really know the details of what had happened to him. All that she knew was that he was in the hospital. Of course it wouldn't be anywhere close, either. She figured that it was part of the reason that her throat seemed tight- that she was anxious about what the doctors had to say about everything. Upon arriving at the hospital, she had fought with numerous doctors and nurses to get on his emergency contact list. If they didn't let her, she would have just stunned all of them and wiped their memories of it ever happening. Yes, that was a worst case scenario, but luckily they were just scared of her- thinking that she was crazy. Honestly, they could think whatever they wanted to. She would go through Hell in a suit doused in gasoline for Noah. Eventually, Eden calmed down enough to listen to the doctor about what had happened. Tears stung her eyes immediately and she had to answer any questions they had that couldn't be answered with him unconscious. They told her that when he had gotten to the hospital, that he was dead; that he had to be revived several times in the emergency room. Someone could have stopped her own heart at that moment. He had almost died. He had been in some sort of coma for three days and she had no idea. The doctor ended up walking away, leaving her standing there to comprehend everything she had just heard.
Eden walked into his room, then, immediately walking over to his bed. He looked so awful, so pale. It only took a few seconds before she had kicked off her heels, crawling into bed with him- despite her wearing a skirt. She spoke to him like he was awake listening...like he could hear what she was saying. Her head rested gently on his chest, careful not to hurt him or touch any of the chords or wires connected to the machines. The steady beat of his heart was enough to reassure her that he was going to be okay. However, when she heard a broken voice over her thoughts, her own heart started racing. Eden had looked up at him with watery eyes, cupping his face, laughing lightly. She leaned forward to kiss him before sitting up slightly, her eyes surveying every inch of his face. His hand ran through her hair, to which she closed her eyes momentarily, her head leaning into his touch. "Don't apologize...don't even worry about that right now." There was a time and place for everything and although it meant a lot to her that he had apologized, they still had a lot more to talk about. Obviously, with him being in the hospital, it wasn't going to be here. Her anger towards him had gone away, at least for now, seeing him this way. "Your doctor is scared of me, so he's been taking extra good care of you." she managed a small grin, her own hand running through his hair once again. The grin quickly faded as she looked at him again. "God, I was so worried about you." she said softly, pain evident in her tone. "You've been unconscious for three days..." she added, glancing over at the monitors. "Your boss is the only other person that knows you're in the hospital. I told him not to tell anyone before I left work..." Her grey eyes found his again, but dropped to his chest, where her hand hand settled over his heart. "No more of this, 'kay?" Eden bit her lip before sitting up, getting out of the bed and slipping her heels back on. "I'm going to tell someone you're awake- I'll be right back." A small grin graced her lips before she turned around, walking out of the room. Eden had told one of the nurses at the nurses station before waiting outside of his room. She watched as a doctor smiled at her before walking in. Eden couldn't help but smirk. He was scared shitless. It was probably ten or fifteen minutes before they were done in his room. During that time, Eden had went outside for some fresh air. A man outside had offered her a cigarette, saying that she looked stressed. Eden took it, letting him light it for her. She wasn't a smoker, but honestly, she did need it. During that time, a nurse had stepped outside to go to lunch. She looked at Eden and told her that smoking wasn't good for her, to which Eden replied, "No shit." She put out the cigarette before getting a couple pieces of gum out of her bag. Luckily, she didn't smell like smoke. She always hated that about smokers. Eden walked back into Noah's room, sitting on the bed next to his legs. "Everything okay?" she asked, referring to what the doctors had said. Man, did she hate hospitals. Especially muggle hospitals.

It had been a long time since the two had been in the hospital for him. He was never the type to go to the hospital unless it was something that he could not have handled without the help of healers. The last time that he had been to the hospital with Eden was when he had first started out with his auror training. He had been injured in a duel, his leg having been pretty badly injured. Something that Eden had tried to help him with though there was no way she would have been able to handle it. Luckily, she had refused to listen to him say no about going to St. Mungo's and forced him to go have a healer look at his leg. Since she had left, he had only ended up in the hospital twice since becoming an auror. However none of those times were nowhere near as bad as the present predicament. When he had started to speak, she looked up at him with watery eyes, showing that she had been crying. It wasn't hard to tell her emotions despite the fact that he had just woken up. The two knew each other too well. Despite everything that happened, she leaned forward to kiss him. Their lips touched though not for as long as they would have. Also, the passion lacked a bit perhaps given his weakened state. She told him to not apologize, not to even worry about it for right now. He shook his head lightly though didn't bring the subject up again. She brought up how his doctor was afraid of her and she ran her hand through his messy hair. Hair that was going to need to be cut eventually considering how long it had been getting. Noah said, "That doesn't surprise me, you can be quite scary when people refuse you things." He had taken a guess that the situation was that she had been refused to see him. Something that would change after he had managed to get out of the hospital. Her grin had faded as she looked at him, talking in a pained voice. The look on his face was certainly questioning what she had just said. Noah asked, "Three days?!" He had never been unconcious for that long nor did it feel like three days. She mentioned how his boss was the only other person to know. Her eyes had dropped to his chest where her hand had settled over his heart, as if scared of not feeling it beat. Eden mentioned no more of this. That meant no more drinking until the late hours of the night, no more of not coming home until the next morning. He said, "Trust me, this isn't fun sitting here." It certainly wasn't a way that he wanted to spend three days, in pain. Not that he had felt any pain until he had woken up. She got out of the bed and mentioned telling someone that he was awake. He watched as she left before closing his eyes, thinking about things to avoid the pain that he had been feeling in his side. In the time that she had left, the doctor had given him morphine, something to help with the pain in his side. Something that Noah had honestly never been given from what he could remember. Hospitals were something that he hated with a passion, especially muggle hospitals. If he had his choice, he would have gotten up and walked out though that wasn't his choice to make so to speak. It had been advised for him to stay there, bored out of his mind. St. Mungo's would have been a much quicker stay than a muggle hospital. That was something that he knew for sure. When she had walked back into the room, he was sitting on more. He didn't look nearly as pale as he did when she had first walked in though there was still some paleness in his face. She had sat back on the bed though next to his legs this time, asking if everything was okay. Noah said, "Yeah, he just mentioned something about staying...blah blah blah." The last part of his sentence was a bit obnixious, after all he had been given drugs to help with the pain. He mentioned, "It would be a lot easier if we were at St. Mungo's. These muggles really have no idea what they're doing, wasting time." Perhaps the fact that the doctor hadn't even mentioned that he didn't have a heartbeat when he had come in, was why he was just wanting to rush out of the hospital. In his hand was the remote to the television which was on in the room, something he used to switch the channels which had nothing entirely appealing on. It was the hand that had finally completely healed from when he had ended up hitting it into the ground. His hazel eyes were barely on the television as he looked at her and asked, "Did your father show up anywhere or no?" While revenge for his aunt would have been nice, he was asking out of worry for Eden. Wondering if he had shown up in his daughter's life in an attempt to ruin it more. After all, they had been apart from each other for two weeks. From what he could tell though, nothing had happened to Eden physically.

* WEARING
Coming back to the hospital in a hurry, Eden remembered the very first time that she had received news that Noah had gotten hurt all those years ago. Of course, being fresh out of Hogwarts didn't help her reaction any. She freaked out and she was demanding of all of the healers. She made it a point, even back then, that she would be on the emergency contact list and owled anytime that he ended up in a hospital. Over time, her reaction to situations like that got better. She was able to get to the hospital in a calm state with a strong mind. However, being here today after how things had ended for them two weeks ago was rough. She was upset, crying when she initially heard what the doctor had said. As far as she knew, too, he didn't know that he had to be revived several times when they found him. Even thinking about it for her made her upset. She could have lost him. Her whole future would have crumbled before her eyes. Seeing him in a hospital bed always made her heart hurt, as well. Eden hated to see him like that, especially because he was always so strong- and so strong for her. Despite the fact that she wanted to be mad at him, she couldn't. Not in the state that he was in and honestly, it was just so good to see him again. She had missed him so much and with everything that had happened recently, she had wanted him there to share the memories with- like meeting her brother. So, despite wanting to be angry, she leaned forward and kissed him, anyway. Eden had mentioned the doctors being afraid of her, therefore, being more attentive to him than they would have normally. A small smirk formed on her lips when she heard his comment about being scary. "I don't like to be ignored...they got the picture, though, everything is good, now." A small laugh escaped before the conversation had turned serious again. Eden began to express her concern for him, wanting to keep going on, but stopping herself. "Yes, three days...it was really bad." It only made her pissed again that no one had bothered to contact her until now. She could have been here when it had happened, but no one else had known, either. It was frustrating, but it was in the past, now. what could she really do about it? She told him that he wasn't going to be doing this again. That he wasn't going to drink himself into oblivion. Worry was again, written all over her face. At this point, it wasn't going to just disappear. "I know...I wish I could make it stop." Referring to the pain and discomfort that he was feeling. She'd rather it be her going through it than him. Eventually, Eden got up and went to go get a doctor. It was important that they knew he was awake, obviously, considering that he had been in a coma. During that time, Eden had went outside for fresh air, trying to get a grip on herself. When she returned, Noah was sitting up more, looking a bit better. Eden looked at the bag that his IV was hooked up to, noticing that he was getting fluids and morphine. He was probably feeling pretty damn good right about now. She had asked what the doctor had said, but his response was...well, indirect. 'Blah, blah, blah,' isn't really an answer. When he had mentioned them wasting their time, her silence finally snapped. "Noah, when they brought you here, you weren't alive. You were dead." Her eyebrows were furrowed- her calm features were now etched with pain. "They had to revive you...more than once." Eden looked away then, determined to calm down. Clearing her throat lightly, she finally answered him about her father. "He's dead...my brother has been staying with me." She then realized that he had no idea about Nick. "Right, you don't know about that. Apparently, I have a half-brother. He's eighteen and he has no one else, so...I told him to stay with me." Eden still hadn't looked at him again. Her thoughts were a thousand miles away from her brother. Just saying the words that Noah had been dead was, well, shocking...painful. It only reminded her that she had almost lost the love of her life. If she knew anything about him, she knew that his thoughts were still on that, as well.

Back then, she had been put onto the contact list of people to contact in the case of an emergency. Even when he had started his auror training while she was still in Hogwarts, she had been put on the list. During those months when she was finishing up her last year at Hogwarts, she was always worried for him. As for Noah, he never really had to worry for her safety. The castle, after all, was one of the safest places to be. Also, the fact that his aunt would look out for her for him just helped him to not have too many worries for her. The two saw each other on the weekends at Hogsmeade when he had a chance to visit her. So, it wasn't too bad for them unlike the past six years where neither had a clue what was going on in their lives without each other. Due to the so many years apart, she was no longer on the contact list of people incase something happened to him. During the years that she had been gone, the only one that would have been contacted in the case of an emergency was his aunt. During the two weeks that the two had been apart, Noah had not been himself even when she had been with him. Usually, he was the stronger one out of the two despite his constant disagreements about that statement. He would often disagree with her considering she went through worst than he did, in his opinion. Alcohol was something that had certainly become a crutch which probably was not surprising to anyone else that saw the state of him. It was something that he had grown quite fond of, even at the age of eleven. Something that he did not go around bragging about, but something that was common knowledge considering most people that he knew, had known him back then. While he had grown fond of it, he had never gotten to the point of ending up in the hospital. That in itself was a surprise considering especially when he was in his seventh year of Hogwarts, had his moments of heavy drinking. He drank quite a bit outside of Hogwarts with Eden though not as bad considering she was always looking for him or he had to be somewhat capable of keeping her from drinking that much. She wasn't really someone to look out for though considering it was more or less him that always wanted to drink. While she had the crazy, murderous lunatic of a father, he had a complicated past as well. That being left with one whole family member that was quite stern and of course, an authority figure in the school. The both of them combined were either a hot mess or a pair that always had each other's back. The two weeks before, they had certainly been a hot mess despite neither of them mentioning a relationship coming back together. With the death of Minerva, he had shut everyone out completely considering the circumstances behind everything. Not only was he dealing with just the death of his aunt, but also the realization that he had been a father. A father to a son that he had never met and someone that had barely gotten a chance to live out an actual life. By an actual life, that meant having dreams and goals to accomplish in his life. It wasn't just Noah grieving with both the deaths and realizations. It was also Eden, who had gone through so much without Noah over the course of six years. Considering how horrible the things that happened to her were, he had done his best to stay strong for her. It had lasted a bit, but it eventually crumbled. She got better, he started self destructing. Now, he was left sitting in a muggle hospital, something that he didn't hold a high opinion of, in pain. Not just that, but she had worry written all over her face. She mentioned the doctors, how she didn't like to be ignored, not something that would surprise him. What did surprise him was when she had brought up how it had been three days. To him, it didn't even feel like three days. It felt like he had fallen asleep and had just woken up the next day from drinking. He asked, "And over the course of three days, only two people know?" It was more stating the obvious fact that he had to clearly add some more people that could be contacted, especially in the case of a muggle hospital where he rarely went. This time around, it was perhaps clearer to not just rely on one person. One person had been on the list considering that was someone that could always be relied on, to always be there for him. Finally, she got up to get a doctor. Someone that he wasn't even going to hold in high respect because again healers would have easily let him go. While he wasn't a pureblood, muggle hospitals were just places that he never wanted to be at. He obviously thought healers were much better at their jobs. Having been given morphine, he had started feel a bit better. The pain was still there, but nowhere near as bad as it was. When she had walked in, she had asked about what the doctor had said. Noah had replied back, a bit less serious than before. Perhaps, it was due to the morphine. Having not such a high opinion of muggle doctors, he had brought up that they were wasting their time. That was something that caused her to snap at him. She told him that he had arrived at the hospital, dead and they had to try several times to revive him. Dead? Well, that wasn't something that he had been trying at all during the past two weeks despite being alone without any family and not really getting along best with his friends. Suicide was certainly not something that he had ever considered. Not even accidental death which was common for some people. Most people wondered what it felt like to die. If they would end up seeing someone when they died, something that he could not remember at all. If he hadn't been revived, well that would been the end of the McGonagall family altogether. Certainly a headline for Rita Skeeter to have after the loss of Minerva two weeks previously. He had said, "Oh..." when she had brought up what had actually happened to him. It certainly caught him off guard considering he hadn't just drank to the point of getting some pretty bad liver pain. No, he had drank to the point of ending up killing himself. Finally, he spoke again. He said, "Well, the good news is that I'll be just fine." Certainly, he felt like an asshole for how he treated her. It was hard to imagine that if two weeks ago had been the last time the two would have seen each other, it was him being a complete ass to her. They had certainly supported each other before throughout things though for him, nothing as bad as that had happened throughout the course of the two being together. Clearly, he was so used to being there for Eden considering the bullshit she went through compared to him. His arm had been wrapped back around her waist, some silence between the two as either of them hadn't a clue exactly what to say to each other. However, he said, "I promise you, I'm not leaving you that way again. Not a chance." His statement meant two things. One had been letting her leave without even trying to stop her, especially after what he had said. True, she had left him, but he had made no effort on his part to stop her. She had actually made effort to give him time to stop her from leaving. The second thing was leaving her by ending up in the same situation that he was already in. Pain was definitely showing on her face, perhaps at the thought of him being dead. A similar look that he would have on his own face had the situation been reversed. Eventually, she cleared her throat and answered him about Igor. She told him about a brother, someone that he had never even heard of until now. He listened as she went into detail about her half-brother. Noah asked, "Eighteen? Doesn't that mean that he was with you the whole time?" That certainly must have been frustrating to know a brother had been there, the whole time with her without her knowing until recently. While she had been staying with her brother, he had been alone except for one night when something that shouldn't have happened, happened. Along with of course, his best friend that kept an eye on him at times. However it wasn't time to go into those details considering the topic of death was still lingering in his mind much as she could have guessed would stay in his mind for a while.
